Vitamin K2 is extracted from Natto (fermented soybeans). The menaquinona 7 is the long chain molecule of vitamin K2, which offers increased efficiency and bioavailability at low doses. This natural form of vitamin K2 helps determine the structure of bone calcium, while helping to reduce the calcification of the arteries. These two effects appear to be contradictory in principle, are possible thanks to this vitamin activates a specific protein (osteocalcin), responsible for optimizing the binding of calcium to bone structure. This function is vital to the strength of bones, which helps prevent the onset of osteoporosis.
